A Chauffeur for Ascot and Racing Days
Race days are one of the few events where the car park genuinely can take as long to leave as the racing itself. Royal Ascot alone brings tens of thousands of cars converging on a small number of roads, and the exit queue after the last race is famously slow.
A chauffeur sidesteps most of that. You're dropped at a designated point close to the entrance rather than a satellite car park, and - this is the part that actually saves the day - you don't have to walk to a car and then queue in it. The driver handles the queue while you're already on your way home in comfort.
Dress Code Practicalities
Ascot's dress code means formalwear, hats and heels, none of which improve with a long walk across gravel or standing in an exit queue. Being dropped directly and collected from a fixed pickup point at the end of the day matters more here than on almost any other kind of booking we do.
Group Bookings for Race Days
Racing parties often travel in groups of four to eight. Our Mercedes V-Class keeps a group together for the day rather than splitting across cars, which also makes coordinating a single pickup time at the end far simpler.
What It Costs
A day booking to Ascot or another racecourse from London, including waiting through the racing and the return, typically runs from around £320-£420 depending on the course, hours and vehicle. Call 020 8129 4999 to check availability - race days book out chauffeurs early, so earlier booking matters more than usual.
Questions, answered.
Do you drop close to the entrance at Ascot?
Yes - we use the designated set-down points close to the entrance rather than the general car parks, which is the main time saving on a race day.
How far ahead should I book for Royal Ascot?
As early as possible. Race days are some of the highest-demand dates of the year for chauffeur bookings, and vehicles for popular fixtures can be booked out weeks in advance.
Can a group of six travel together?
Yes - our Mercedes V-Class seats up to eight, which suits most racing parties in one vehicle rather than splitting the group across two cars.
