The EDITION · 5-star hotel
Chauffeur transfers for The London EDITION — Berners Street’s lobby scene, with the car outside before the coat check closes.

What to expect
Berners Street runs one-way north with a kerb directly at the door — one of Fitzrovia’s few genuinely easy pickups.
Landing into London? We meet you in arrivals with a board and bring you to The EDITION on the real arrival time, an hour of waiting built in.
Airport, station or cruise terminal, the fare is agreed before you set off — tolls and London charges already counted in.
Clean, current, unbranded cars and chauffeurs who understand that the best service is the kind you barely notice.
Your chauffeur stands at The EDITION exactly where the doormen expect pre-booked cars — no circling the block, no phone tag, no scanning the rank.

The alternatives
How a private chauffeur compares with the alternatives for The EDITION.
| How you travel | Time | Cost | The catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hotel doorman taxi | When one appears | Metered — unpredictable | Fine for a mile; a gamble to the airport |
| Rideshare app | Varies | Surge pricing | No name board, and the price climbs when you need it most |
| Public transport | Longest | Cheapest | Cheapest on paper, once you forget the cases and the changes |
| P5 Chauffeur Recommended | Scheduled to you | Fixed in advance | Booked ahead, tracked in, nothing left to chance |
Travel notes
Fitzrovia empties north brilliantly: Luton and the M1 from this door skip the West End entirely via Cleveland Street.
For weddings, board dinners and delegations we run coordinated multi-car pickups from the door — one booking, one invoice, every guest accounted for.
Happy to work directly with the The EDITION concierge — standing arrangements, account billing and repeat bookings for regular guests are all straightforward.
The closest station is Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus. Handy for a light, single trip; less so with cases or a tight connection, which is where the door-to-door car earns its keep.
The hotel is inside the Congestion Charge and ULEZ zones, so both are already in your fixed price — which is not the case with every quote you’ll be given.
Oxford Street, Soho Square, Charlotte Street, Tottenham Court Road are all close by — several walkable, the rest a short run with the car held between stops.
There's a particular letdown in leaving somewhere like The London EDITION — Fitzrovia since 2013, celebrated for Ian Schrager’s Fitzrovia ballroom-lobby — only to argue with a meter on the way out. Booking a chauffeur removes it. The fare is settled up front, the car is chosen for the address, and the driver already knows which door is yours.
Berners Street runs one-way north with a kerb directly at the door — one of Fitzrovia’s few genuinely easy pickups. Allow roughly 45 min–1h to Heathrow outside the peaks, with fixed fares to Gatwick, City, Luton, Stansted, St Pancras and the cruise ports besides. Coming the other way, we follow the flight from the moment it leaves, meet you in the hall with your name, and keep the meter-free clock stopped for sixty minutes while you clear customs.
Fitzrovia empties north brilliantly: Luton and the M1 from this door skip the West End entirely via Cleveland Street. None of it changes the essentials — a fixed fare, every charge already counted, and a driver who is early rather than "nearly there". With Oxford Street and Soho Square close by, guests often add a stop and keep the car between them rather than starting afresh each time.

At a glance
Expect £60 for a saloon to Heathrow and £75 to Gatwick, each fixed in advance. Weighed against a metered taxi, the value is the certainty: one price, confirmed in writing, whatever the M4 happens to be doing.
Berners Street runs one-way north with a kerb directly at the door — one of Fitzrovia’s few genuinely easy pickups.
We run to St Pancras for £45, door to platform. With the Eurostar the trick is the 30–45 minute check-in window, so we plan the pickup around that rather than the train time itself.
Distance-wise, London City wins at roughly 25–35 min. Practically, book whichever your flight uses; the fixed fare from The EDITION means the closer airport isn't automatically the cheaper trip.
That's the whole point of booking ahead. We watch the arrivals board so you needn't text from the gate; the driver knows before you've cleared passport control, and the included hour absorbs the usual airport friction.
About 45 min–1h, though we plan around your flight rather than the average — early departures leave before the roads fill, and inbound we time the collection to your landing. London City is nearer still, roughly 25–35 min.
Round the clock, every day. Early flights are half our work; your driver arrives ahead of time with the car warm, and the fixed price holds whether it's dawn or noon.
“I use P5 Chauffeurs every time I fly into and out of London. I'm impressed by their reliability, punctuality, and all-around professionalism. P5 is always my first choice.”
