Red-Eye and Early Morning Flight Pickups in London
Early morning departures — the kind where your pickup time starts with a 3 or a 4 — are some of the most common bookings we take, largely because they're also the hardest to arrange any other way. Public transport into most London airports doesn't run at that hour, and hailing a taxi at 4am is its own gamble.
A pre-booked chauffeur removes the two biggest risks of an early departure: nobody comes, or the driver who does come doesn't actually know the fastest route at an hour when road closures and diversions can differ from daytime patterns. Your booking is confirmed the moment you make it, with a driver assigned in advance rather than dispatched on demand.
Why the Roads Are Actually Faster — Mostly
London before dawn is usually clearer than at any other time of day, which is one of the few upsides of an early flight. The exception is anywhere near roadworks with restricted overnight access, or routes affected by early refuse collection and delivery traffic in central areas — details a driver who does this regularly will already know to route around.
Getting the Wake-up Timing Right
We calculate pickup time backward from your check-in deadline, not your flight time, and build in the fact that early morning airport traffic — even light on the roads — can still mean a queue at security if several flights depart in the same window. Tell us your flight and we'll tell you the pickup time, rather than leaving you to guess and add your own buffer at 3am.
What It Costs
Early and late-hour pickups carry no surcharge — the fixed price quoted at booking is the price you pay whether your pickup is 8am or 3am. A transfer to Heathrow, for example, still runs £55-£85 regardless of hour. Call 020 8129 4999 to book your red-eye pickup.
Questions, answered.
Do you charge more for very early or late pickups?
No — our fixed pricing doesn't change based on the hour. A 4am pickup costs the same as a 4pm one for the same route.
How do you calculate pickup time for an early flight?
We work backward from your airline's recommended check-in time, factoring in the drive and typical security queue times for that airport at that hour, then confirm the pickup time with you directly.
Is traffic actually lighter for very early morning drives?
Generally yes, which helps offset the early start — though overnight roadworks and early delivery traffic in central London can still cause localised delays, which our drivers route around.
