Chauffeur Travel for Solicitors and Barristers
A court listing doesn't move because your taxi is stuck on the Embankment. Solicitors and barristers work to fixed start times more than almost any other profession — a hearing at the Royal Courts of Justice or a commercial arbitration starting at 10am isn't going to wait for you, and turning up flustered from a bad journey is its own kind of disadvantage before you've said a word.
We work with law firms across the City and West End for exactly this reason. A chauffeur booked for a court day means you know the departure time that gets you there with margin, the driver knows to treat that time as fixed rather than aspirational, and you arrive able to focus on the case rather than the traffic you just sat in.
Client Meetings and Confidentiality
Beyond court, a lot of the work is ferrying partners and associates to client meetings where the conversation in the car — case strategy, settlement figures, client concerns — is as sensitive as anything discussed in the meeting itself. Our drivers don't ask, don't repeat, and don't take calls of their own while you're in the car. If you need to work or take a call en route, the car is set up for it, not for small talk.
Waiting During Hearings
Hearings run long or get adjourned constantly, and nobody can predict which on any given morning. We build waiting time into court bookings rather than charging by the minute once you're inside, so a hearing that runs three hours instead of one doesn't turn your travel budget into a guessing game.
What It Costs
A court transfer with a half-day wait typically runs £90-£150 depending on distance and wait time; a client meeting circuit across the City typically runs £60-£110. Call 020 8129 4999 with your hearing time or meeting schedule and we'll agree a fixed price before the day.
Questions, answered.
Can you guarantee arrival time for a court hearing?
We plan pickup times with enough margin for normal traffic delays and confirm the departure time in advance so you know exactly when the car needs you ready. For anything time-critical, book with as much notice as you can so we can build in extra buffer.
Do you charge extra if a hearing runs long and the car has to wait?
Reasonable waiting time is included in the fixed price agreed at booking. Tell us it's a court booking when you call and we'll price in a realistic wait rather than charging by the minute.
Can we book regular weekly transport for a partner who attends court often?
Yes, a number of our law firm clients do this through a corporate account, which also simplifies invoicing across multiple fee-earners and cases.
