Chauffeurs for a Bond Street and Harrods Shopping Day
A serious shopping day in London usually covers three or four areas — Bond Street, Sloane Street, Knightsbridge, maybe Harrods or Selfridges — and none of them are within easy walking distance of each other once you're carrying bags. Most of our shopping-day bookings aren't about the driving at all, they're about having somewhere for the bags to go.
The alternative is either carrying everything from shop to shop, or calling separate taxis between each stop and hoping one shows up quickly on a busy Knightsbridge afternoon. Neither is particularly relaxing on what's supposed to be an enjoyable day.
How the Waiting Works
We book these as half-day or full-day waiting bookings — the car stays with you, parked or circling nearby depending on where stopping is allowed, and bags go straight into the boot after each stop rather than piling up around your feet in a shop. If you're stopping for lunch between Bond Street and Knightsbridge, the car and driver wait through that too.
Planning the Route
Bond Street to Knightsbridge is a short drive but a long walk once you're loaded down, and parking near Harrods on a Saturday is close to impossible without a driver who knows the loading bays and short-stay options. Tell us roughly which stops you're planning and we'll route it sensibly rather than backtracking across town.
What It Costs
A half-day chauffeur booking with waiting time (around 4 hours) typically runs £180-£240 in an executive saloon; a full day (up to 8 hours) runs £320-£420. Both are fixed prices agreed before the day starts, regardless of how much traffic you hit around Knightsbridge or how long you spend inside any one shop. Call 020 8129 4999 to arrange it.
Questions, answered.
Does the driver actually wait outside each shop?
Yes, for waiting-time bookings the car stays nearby throughout, either parked where permitted or circling if a stop isn't allowed, and comes back to collect you and any bags.
Can I add an extra stop partway through the day?
Yes, within reason — half and full day bookings are flexible on exact stops, just let your driver know where you'd like to go next.
Is a V-Class better than a saloon for a shopping trip with multiple people?
For two or more people with a serious amount of shopping, yes — the extra boot and cabin space makes a real difference by the third or fourth stop.
