Booking a Chauffeur Journey as a Gift
Some of our most rewarding bookings aren't for the person paying — they're for a parent being driven to a milestone birthday lunch, a partner surprised with a night out, or an elderly relative who needs to get to a hospital appointment without the stress of driving or public transport. Booking on someone else's behalf is entirely normal, and it's simpler than people expect.
You give us the passenger's details, pickup and drop-off, and timing, and pay for it yourself — the passenger doesn't need to touch a booking system, provide a card, or arrange anything. We confirm the journey to you, and the driver has everything they need to collect the right person from the right place at the right time.
What to Tell Us
The passenger's name and phone number (so the driver can reach them directly if needed), the pickup address, destination, and timing, and anything specific to them — mobility needs, whether they'd appreciate help with the car door, or if they simply won't know what to expect and would benefit from the driver introducing themselves clearly.
For a Surprise
If it's a surprise gift, tell us that too — we can have the driver simply say a car has been booked for them, without giving away who arranged it or where they're going, if that's part of the surprise. Just make sure the passenger knows roughly when to expect a car so they're not caught off guard.
What It Costs
Pricing works exactly as it would for any journey — a fixed price agreed upfront based on the route, typically £40-£90 for a standard transfer within London, with nothing further to pay on the day since it's already settled by you in advance. Call 020 8129 4999 and we'll talk through exactly what to arrange for the person you're booking for.
Questions, answered.
Does the person I'm booking for need to do anything themselves?
No — you handle the booking and payment entirely, and the driver deals directly with the passenger on the day using the details you've given us.
Can I book this as a genuine surprise without them knowing in advance?
Yes, tell us it's a surprise and we'll brief the driver accordingly, though we'd still suggest letting the passenger know roughly when to expect a car so they're not startled.
Can I book a round trip, like collection and a return home later that day?
Yes — tell us both legs at booking and we'll quote a fixed price covering the whole journey, including any waiting time between them if needed.
