What counts as a large suitcase or a cabin bag?

The sizes we use

  • Large suitcase: a checked-in case up to about 77 cm high, 49 cm wide and 30 cm deep, measured with its wheels.
  • Cabin bag: a bag up to about 55 cm high, 35 cm wide and 20 cm deep, measured with its wheels.

The suitcase count in a quote means large cases. Cabin bags and small bags usually travel alongside them, but a full car with a bag for every passenger can run out of room, so count everything when you choose a class. The fleet page shows what each class carries.

Bigger or unusual items

A case larger than this, or a pushchair, golf bag, skis, musical instrument or folded wheelchair, takes more room than the count suggests. Say so on the next step of the quote, or call 020 8742 2888, so we send a vehicle that fits before you travel.
