Which date and time should I use for a UK pickup?
State the local collection time
For a UK collection, make clear that the date and time refer to the pickup location. If you or your assistant are booking from overseas, include “UK local time” when agreeing the itinerary with the team. Do not assume the time displayed on another country’s device is the pickup time.
Check journeys around midnight
Write the full date for an early-morning collection. A pickup at 00:30 on Tuesday happens shortly after Monday night, not after Tuesday evening. For overnight flights, check the arrival date printed on the airline itinerary.
Explain airport timing
Give the arriving flight details and ask the team to confirm the collection arrangement. Landing time and the time you are ready after baggage collection are different. For an airport departure, use the airline’s required arrival and check-in guidance when planning backwards.
Check the date and time on the final confirmation. If anything looks wrong, contact P5 before travelling rather than relying on an interpretation of an earlier message.
