How should I arrange an outward and return journey?
Give each leg its own details
State the outward date, time, pickup and destination, then the return date, time and addresses. Tell us if different passengers or luggage will travel on the return. For an airport collection, include that arriving flight.
Check what has been booked
Do not assume that booking the outward transfer reserves a return car. Ask the team to confirm both legs and the price and conditions applying to each. Keep both journey references if separate references are issued.
If the return time depends on an event finishing, explain that before confirming. Ask whether separate transfers or an agreed hourly itinerary would suit; a transfer does not include indefinite waiting.
Tell us when one leg changes
Identify the affected journey when requesting an amendment. If a flight is cancelled or a meeting moves, do not assume the other leg has also been changed or cancelled. Read the refund policy and obtain confirmation of the arrangements that remain in place.
